North Star checks your appraisal against 407 published rules across FHA, VA, USDA, Conventional (Fannie + Freddie), USPAP, ANSI, FEMA, Dodd-Frank, federal land acquisition, and Washington and Oregon state law. When you assemble a workfile, you can seal it into a permanent record anyone can confirm — in a browser, with no account and no server round-trip — proof that holds up years after the deal closes.

Justin Moriarty is the chief executive officer, appraisal subject-matter expert, and co-founder. A licensed appraiser in both Washington and Oregon with decades of Pacific NW field experience, he sets the company's direction and brings the customer relationships that make the Pacific NW launch possible.
Darin Molnar, PhD is the chief technology officer, president, and co-founder. He built the rule checking, the tamper-evident records, the web app, and this site. He owns the technical direction and is the person to reach with questions about how the checks and records work.
